Frequently asked questions
Where is the wedding taking place?
Our wedding is taking place on the island of Santorini, Greece. More details about the location in the invitation.
What time is the ceremony? What time is the reception?
The ceremony will begin at 6:30pm (Eastern European Standard Time). Guests are asked to arrive at 6:00pm for a pre cocktail prior to the start of the ceremony. Cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing to immediately follow. If you are tuning in virtually, the ceremony will begin at 10:30am CST/3:30pm GMT.
What is the dress code? What should I wear?
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. This is a time to dress up but also wear something you’re comfortable in. Please refer to the "Attire" section on the information page of our site for a color palette and inspiration photos.
What weather should I expect?
We have been told that Santorini is very hot in August during the day and quite breezy in the evening. It is recommended to have a light jacket or shawl for your nights out on the town.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The entire wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception) will be outdoors.
What should I expect after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the bridal party and the immediate family of the couple will take pictures for approximately 30 minutes. After that, the bride and groom will take photos for approximately 30 minutes. During this hour, guests will enjoy cocktail hour with with an open bar and passed hors d'oeuvres. Dinner will be served around 8 pm, with dancing to follow.

Will transportation be provided?
All guests will need to organize transportation to the venue either by taxi or a pre-arranged vehicle. We have arranged for shuttles to take all of our guests back to their hotels/villas at the end of the evening. These shuttles will leave the venue at 1am (reception end time). If you wish to leave the wedding early, please make sure you arrange your transportation ahead of time as the shuttles will not make additional trips.
Are there other wedding events I can attend?
Yes! We are hosting a welcome reception on Friday, August 19, 2023. More details in the invitation.

My friend/boyfriend/child is coming with me to Santorini, even though they will not attend the wedding. Is it ok for them to come to the welcome reception?
This should not be a problem, however, please let us know ahead of time as we have to turn in a final count to the venue.
How do I RSVP?
We hope you’ll be able to join us for our special day. Inside of your invitation, there is an RSVP card with a QR code. Scan the code with your phone and it will take you straight to the RSVP page on our website. There, you will be asked to enter the passcode provided to you on the RSVP card. You can also click here and it will take you to the RSVP page.

When is the RSVP deadline?
All guests must RSVP by April 30, 2023. If you need more time due to passport/visa processing, please let us know directly.
Can I RSVP without booking my flight to Santorini?
Due to the nature of our wedding, all guests will be asked to submit a copy of their flight confirmation to Santorini in order to submit their RSVP. Unfortunately, guests will not be able submit their RSVP without a flight confirmation.

I received an invitation but can't find my name when trying to RSVP. What should I do?
It's likely that we misspelled your name unintentionally. Please contact us so we can troubleshoot and make any necessary corrections so that you can submit your RSVP on time.

Can I bring my kids to the wedding?
Unfortunately, because our venue is quite small, we are only allowing the children in our immediate family to attend the wedding. Many of our guests are making this a family vacation and bringing their children along, which is wonderful. Please be sure to make arrangements for them while you are away at the wedding.
Can I bring my partner or a plus one?
We are at capacity with our venue which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out.

My invited partner cannot attend, can I swap them for another guest?
This wedding is invite only because we want to make sure that we are celebrating this intimate moment with people we love and care about. If a guest was not listed on the invitation, they will not be able to RSVP.
I can’t attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?
Yes! We’ve decided to live stream our wedding ceremony for guests who can’t make it to be with us in person. You’ll find all the details here. Once you are on the page, you can also sign up to receive reminders of the live stream.
Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
We did not secure a group hotel block for our guests because we want our guests to choose where they are most comfortable staying. We have hotel recommendations on the information page under Hotel and Villa Information. Please reach out if you need more suggestions.
What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?
We’ll be serving light hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a delicious four course dinner, and of course dessert.
I have dietary restrictions, what’s the best way to communicate that with you?
We definitely want to make sure you enjoy your time and meal on our wedding day, please let us know when you RSVP about your dietary needs.
Will there be an open bar?
Do fish swim?
Do you have a registry?
Yes we do! Please know that your presence (whether in person or virtual) is a huge gift to us, but if you would like to bless us with a gift, we have a registry that will go towards the down payment of our future home together. The registry can be found here.
Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?
Although we love photos and can't wait to see all the great pictures you take, our ceremony will be unplugged. We ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony as we have hired a team of photographers and videographers to capture the special moments. During the ceremony please be present, enjoy the moment, and keep the phones put away. Pictures turn out much nicer when there aren't a bunch of phones in the air. For the rest of the wedding, we encourage guests to take pictures and post using our wedding hashtag #AryeeWedding so we can see them, too!
